Learning Services is a free service that offers learning and study advice to Ara students. All of our Learning Advisors are committed to support you in developing your academic skills, such as:

  • Study skills
  • Academic reading and writing
  • Assignment planning
  • APA referencing skills
  • Exam and test preparation
  • Maths skills

You can meet with a Learning Advisor during our daily “drop-in” sessions or by booking in for an appointment.

Learning Services offer a range of services, resources and information for Māori and Pasifika students:

  • One-on-one academic support with our Māori Learning Advisor (Dora Langsbury) and Pasifika Learning Advisors (Georgie Archibald and Afoa Patiole)
  • Māori and Pasifika shared study group space
  • Linking you with other Māori and Pasifika support services at Ara
  • Māori and Pasifika information resources
