International Students

If you're an international student, our dedicated team of International Advisors can help you adjust to living in New Zealand and with any study related issues. Bilingual advisors are available in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. 

Ask them for help if you:

  • Have a problem with your study, course work, assessments.
  • Need some advice or support with accommodation, immigration etc.
  • Are feeling lonely, isolated and worried.
  • Are having difficulty understanding your tutors or other students.
  • Don't know who to talk to.
  • Have any other concerns or questions about anything. 

International student activities

We run heaps of events specifically for our visiting international students. You can meet new people while experiencing what Christchurch and Canterbury have to offer. Check out the international events calendar on the international section of our website.

Designated Prayer spaces

City campus

  • M115 & M116 (pre fabricated classrooms on corner of Coventry and Barbadoes Street).
    Available from 06.00am-10.00pm, 7 days a week including public holidays.  Unavailable during summer break (Christmas/New Year) closure.

Woolston Campus

We now have two designated Prayer spaces on campus. These are:

  • V212a
    Electrical wing upstairs in V block. This is booked on Fridays from 12‐1pm from August 3 for Bible Study Group. A swipe card is with the Admissions team that requires signing in/out to
    access this room.
  • VM block
    Along Sullivan Avenue and V driveway. This building is set aside for the Muslim faith. Ask at Student Central for the key.
