Eco Showcase

The Ara Eco Showcase is your opportunity to inspire and motivate others, through education and direct action, to make a meaningful difference to the sustainability of our planet.
We encourage you to come up with an idea for a sustainable action project and submit it for the showcase. Submissions are welcome from all students, regardless of department.
Previous Eco Showcase action projects:
- Free on-campus bike maintenance to encourage commuting by bike
- A buyer’s guide to ethical and sustainable beauty products
- A marine educational activity for Sea Week
- A garage sale on campus to encourage re-use of unwanted items
- A beach clean-up walk
- A scrap metal collection to raise funds for kea conservation
- A ‘Mission to Mars’ holiday programme focusing on renewables, solar power, resource conservation and recycling
